Aranea Von Spinne is PumpkinQueen99’s OC. (The old version of her page can be found here)

Aranea is a female ghost who first appeared in the fanfic “The Haunted Hotel” back in 2014–as of right now, Pumpkin is planning on doing a soft reboot of all of her Uncle Grandpa Fanfiction and will be rewriting most, if not all, of the stories Aranea is featured in.

Personality[]

At face value, Aranea has a prim and proper air to her, that makes her intimidating to approach, but once you get to know her you will find that she is anything but.

She is particularly mischievous and loves pulling pranks, mainly on Pizza Steve, but since she tends to hold grudges fairly easily, if you don’t tread carefully you may become the next target of her mischief.

Aranea also loves reading any book she can get her hands onto—she has no favorite genre, she just loves reading, since it was previously inaccessible to her in her youth due to her poor eyesight from not having glasses. She will consume just about any book, and as a result is fairly knowledgeable on many topics from all of her reading. For this reason, when she is being serious, she often will go about things in a logical manner.

Aranea is not religious, especially not after death when she only became a ghost instead of ascending to any type of afterlife.

Aranea is the type to feel strong jealousy towards anyone who tries to get between her and those she cares most about.

Physical Appearance[]

In life, Aranea had long silky black hair that she usually would pin up in hairstyles common of the Victorian Era, as well as dresses that were common for the era. She would often would be squinting due to her poor eyesight and lack of glasses to see.

When she met her lover Barney, his first gift to her was her iconic red glasses, which she was now able to see, and thus, was able to read and do much more now that she had improved eye-sight.

After death, she essentially has the same appearance, but with her hair now fully loose, and often wears gothic fashion that is more contemporary with the times.

Aranea is over 150 years old, but physically resembles a woman in her mid 20s, as she died young.

Relationships[]

Belly Bag/Billy Baggins[]

Aranea and Belly Bag are in a relationship, and are very serious about it. Their bond couldn’t easily be described, but many people assume they’re already married, due to their affection for each other. Sure, as a couple they do have certain things to work through, but nothing will ever change how much they care about one another.

Rose[]

Rose is one of Aranea’s closest friends. How they met in the first place is unclear, however they are quite close. In some continuities, they also purse a romantic relationship together, usually polyamorous including Slog (Rose’s boyfriend) and Belly Bag.

Honey[]

When Aranea first saw Honey she became obsessed with her, as she reminded her of her first lover, Hope. She attempted to kidnap Honey and keep her all to herself, but Honey, instead, turned her attention to Belly Bag, and matched them up together. Aranea isn’t fully over the crush, but she considers Honey a close friend.

Pizza Steve[]

Aranea HATES Pizza Steve. Steve was always the obstacle in the way of Aranea being with Honey, and if it hadn’t been for meeting Belly Bag, god only knows what Aranea might have tried doing to him. Steve doesn’t care much for her either—the two often get into meaningless arguments and constantly are trying to one-up each other. They’re rivals, but without the sexual tension (as far as we know).
